Dance Director, Inc. ("Dance Director", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of studio owners, staff, students, and parents who use our platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Dance Director service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
We collect information you provide directly to us, information generated through your use of the Service, and in some cases, information from third parties.

We do not sell your personal data or your students' data to third parties. We do not use student data for advertising purposes.
Dance Director is a business tool used by studio operators. Student records — including records of minors — are entered into the platform by the studio operator (you), not collected directly from students or their parents by Dance Director.
As the studio operator, you are responsible for obtaining any necessary consent from parents or guardians before entering minor student data into the Service, and for complying with applicable laws such as COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and FERPA.
Dance Director processes student data solely as a data processor on your behalf, under your instructions, and only as needed to provide the Service. We do not use student data for our own marketing or analytics.
We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
We retain your account and studio data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service. If you close your account, we will retain your data for up to 30 days to allow for account recovery, after which it will be deleted from our active systems.
Some data may be retained for longer periods where required by law (e.g., financial records) or for legitimate business purposes such as resolving disputes or enforcing agreements.
You may request an export of your data at any time from your account settings or by contacting us at support@dancedirector.io.

Our primary payment processing partner handles all card transactions. We do not store full payment card numbers — only the last four digits and card type for display purposes.
