How much is Dance Director Business?
Business is $125/month, or $1,250/year when billed annually — equal to 10 months, so paying annually gets you 2 months free.
Is the PAX A35 really included?
Yes, for studios on annual Business billing. Eligible annual Business customers who apply for and are approved for Dance Director Payments receive a PAX A35 card reader under this promotional offer, at no additional cost. The reader is not included with monthly billing.
Do I have to be approved for payment processing?
Yes, and you also need to be on annual Business billing. The free card reader requires both — annual billing and approval for Dance Director Payments, which is underwritten by our payment-processing partner, Finix. Approval is not guaranteed by Dance Director.
What happens if my payment-processing application isn't approved?
The free reader promotion does not apply if your Dance Director Payments application isn't approved, even on annual billing. You can still use Dance Director Business's studio-management tools.
Can I use Dance Director without Dance Director Payments?
Yes. Dance Director's core tools — registration, scheduling, communication, reports, and more — work without Dance Director Payments. The free PAX A35 reader, specifically, is only available to annual Business customers who are approved for Dance Director Payments.
Are there payment processing fees?
Business includes Dance Director Payments processing at 3% + 30¢ per transaction. Payment-processing rates are governed by the Dance Director Payments agreement and fee schedule in effect at the time, separate from the Business subscription price.
Is there a contract?
No. Business can be billed monthly or annually, with no minimum term beyond the current billing period, and you can cancel anytime through your account settings. One exception: if you've already received your promotional PAX A35 reader on annual billing and cancel, downgrade, or switch to monthly before completing one full paid annual billing term, a one-time $100 equipment fee applies.
